There’s a great deal of confusion lately with “stacking” coupons at the store and then coming home and submitting rebates (Checkout51, SavingStar, Mobisave, Ibotta, etc). This has always been a great way to double the savings but it looks like it may quickly be coming to an end. I’ve gone through several rebates and the wording seems to be different based on the manufacturer. So, long story short, each of us should be reading the fine print on all paper coupons, digital coupons, mail-in-rebates and digital rebates prior to using them. If you feel that you’re following the coupon/rebate guidelines, then you should definitely take advantage of the savings.
In the future, I’ll be notating any available digital rebates at the bottom of deals, letting the decision on whether to submit or not up to you. If you do see me list a rebate included in a deal on this website, it means that I’m 99.9% sure that it can be “stacked” with a coupon. Please feel free to comment or ask questions any time!
